OverviewAn on alternate Earth, in their ancient past, the Norn used to believe that they had been visited by their gods, who bestowed upon them many blessings, and protected them during a war against demons. As time passed, and they became civilised, they threw off their superstitions, and the great city known as Fólkvangr slipped into myth. Nearly eight thousand years later, a rift opened around the lakeside capital of the Niwvalhöll Empire, and when the lights faded, the citizens of that far future city found that across the lake sat an ancient city, and they came face to face with their ancient legends.
Most Valhallan citizens are not combat-ready. Their military consists of armoured infantry, fast tanks, and mechs. |
FriendsValhalla believes itself superior to almost all the other realms, but it is not inherently aggressive.
EnemiesThe only thorns in Valhalla's side currently are Niflheim, to the south (since Valhalla's technology is anathema to the Thursar) and the Tír na Nóg to the west - since they find the allure of Valhalla's technology irrestible and are continually trying to steal it. They are not yet at war with Avernus, but as it becomes clearer who the Avernians really are, conflict seems inevitable.
